“Agents in Action” Fall Mid-Week Camp

The children’s Exploring LIFE Program of Shores United Methodist Church is offering a new fall camp “Agents in Action.” An exciting Mid-week adventure in discovering what it means to live courageously every day as God’s Disciple! Children are introduced to 13 daily missions for God as his special agents.
Each Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Christian Education Building, your child is invited to a time of Bible Stories, Games Galore, Crafts, Creative Art, Missions and more! Children will enjoy an evening meal of pizza, fruit, dessert and drinks. Plan now to have your child join “Agents in Action.” The program is for children in Pre-K4 to 6th grade and begins Wednesday, September 4. First Friday Artwalk

This monthly celebration of all things St. Augustine art takes place in art galleries throughout the city and the beach. Galleries will display new exhibitions and pieces, artists will be on hand to discuss their work, local musicians will provide the soundtrack, and the delicious hors d’oeuvres will flow. There’s something new every month, and it’s a perfect way to get out and appreciate the quirky, creative vibe of the Ancient City. The event is free and open to the public.

Partnering with the Ancient City Astronomy Club, St. John’s Parks and Rec brings you this two-night event of gazing up at the starry night sky. Learn about the constellations and astronomy overall with your friends and family seeing as everyone and anyone is invited. The event is free but parking space is limited. Telescopes and binoculars will be available so that you can get an even closer view!

Blast off with the first VBS to land on Mars! Kids become Voyagers on a journey through space, exploring where God’s power can take them. They’ll lift off to distant planets on special missions to collect power sources. Along the way, they’ll learn how God walked with heroes of the Bible, and that God is always with them. During the adventure they will enjoy out-of-this-world fun games, crafts, science, music and timeless Bible stories that inspire kids to give glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine! We are now open for pre-registration!
To Mars and Beyond Vacation Bible School is for children starting Pre-K 4 to 5th grade and rising 6th graders. Students entering the 7th grade can register as helpers. VBS is Monday thru Friday, July 22 – July 26, 2019 from 8:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. There is no registration fee, but pre-registration is appreciated for planning supplies and snacks.
