Introducing a new level of collaboration between Ripple Effect Ecotours and Marineland Dolphin Adventure. This December a unique combination of kayak and walking tours will introduce visitors to the complete “Dolphin Conservation Experience”. The day will start at Marineland Dolphin Adventure, where guests will be immersed in the history and legacy of conservation at this amazing facility. After a dinner break, guests will be delighted with a 2 hour kayak tour venturing into the Marineland Matanzas Basin where Ripple Effect Ecotours expert guides will focus on the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin natural habitat. Good Morning Marineland Family Paddle

Nothing defines the holidays like spending time with friends and family, so this year treat your family to an outing they will never forget! Get out of the house and join Ripple Effect for a mid-morning paddle into a pristine estuary. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

On Christmas Eve, December 24 Shores United Methodist Church is holding two Candlelight Services to celebrate the birth of our lord, Jesus Christ. A Traditional worship service at 4:00 p.m. and a Contemporary, family oriented service at 6:00 p.m. Childcare is available for infants and preschoolers during both services. The community is invited to join us in celebrating the birth of our Savior at these special worship services. Shores United Methodist Church is located at 724 Shores Blvd, between the Shores Golf Course and Hartley Elementary. Rev. Carolyn Westlake is the pastor. “Christmas through Song” Concert

On Sunday, December 16 the Chancel Choir of Shores United Methodist Church will present a musical program “Christmas through Song” at the 8:45 a.m. Traditional Service. The program is a treasury of traditional songs, favorite hymns, and choice carols under the direction of Music Director, Roger Woods. Santa Paws is Coming to Town!

Casting call for all pups and party-animals! Come join us December 15th 4:00-6:00 pm, at the Guy Harvey Resort St. Augustine Beach as we try for a spot in the Guinness World Records for the most Santa Dogs at a single event. Dress your best friend in any kind of festive Santa costume and let’s show the world that St. Augustine is one of the most dog-friendly destinations!

We will have prizes for the Best Dressed Dog Santa, fun games, and Santa himself will be there for photo opportunities.

All people who participate will receive one free cocktail from Papa’s Pilar Rum at our new restaurant, Santiago’s a Florida Kitchen and Craft Bar, and a Santa hat for your four-legged friends.

Come on out and be a champion. Let’s make the Guinness Book of World Records for the most Santa Dogs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on December 15th!

Makers, Food, Music & Community

We are thrilled to announce our new location and our partnership with the Friends of St Augustine Amphitheatre to bring our community a day full of music, creativity, food and fun! The 3rd Annual St. Augustine Makers Fest™ presented by F.O.S.A.A will be held Sunday Dec 9, 2018 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The event which runs from 11am-5pm serves as a principal fundraiser for the St. Augustine Public Montessori School, a 501c3 non-profit and St. Johns County Public charter school. Admission is $5 for adults, kids FREE!

Local artisans will be showcasing their amazing crafts and leading in-depth workshops.

This year we introduce Making Worlds where making station crafts are separated into Paper World, Textile World and Nature World under the big top of the Amphitheatre. Our stations provide making opportunities for Makers of all ages to create a quality craft that can be given as a gift or kept for yourself. We have even added a few tall tables this year for Makers over 5ft tall.
