Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine is hosting the 5th Annual Family Fun Fest at Francis
Field on Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. This dynamic all day festival is
packed with activities for the KIDS and the KID IN YOU!
There will be live community entertainment including: “Be the Hamster” Snow Cones, Jumpin’
Bean Inflatables, Extreme Nerf Battle Zone, Face Painting, Clowns, Games and appearances
by Local Law Enforcement and Military, Fire Trucks, Costumed Characters, Community
Education, Crafts, Vendors, Beer, Food Trucks and MORE!
Be a part of the action and cheer for our incredible local athletes in The Team Obstacle
Challenge Course. Twenty teams of eight members push themselves to the limits to beat the
clock battling for the ultimate title! A few featured obstacles include: Rock Wall, Jump Boxes,
Tarp Pull, Row Boat and the Warped Wall. Defending the titles for The Team Obstacle
Challenge Course are: 1st Shugart Fence, 2nd A.D. Davis Construction, 3rd Army National Guard
and Top Fundraiser: Nettles Fine Jewelry.

General admission is $5 adults, $3 for seniors, military and first responders, youth under 12 are free. Kid Zone wristband tickets for Jumpin’ Bean bounce houses and Extreme Nerf Battle will be sold at the event for $10 to enjoy all day play.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Conquer the Trails-5k race on February 1st
This professionally chip timed by Florida Race Day 5k race takes place in the scenic TrailMark Community Center at 805 Trailmark Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092 The race starts at 9 am. Packet pick up is at Trailmark’s amenity center race morning between 8:00 am – 8:45 am

Confessions of the Corazon: A Night of Storytelling

“Confessions of the Corazon” returns to the Corazon Cinema and Cafe with Kathy Kniery as our featured storyteller, on September 26th. According to her Tale Tellers of St. Augustine bio, it states:

Kathy is a recently transplanted Illinoisan. After 30 years of serving in public and private schools as a library/media specialist and sometimes social studies teacher, she gave up cold weather and snow for sunshine and ocean breezes. It was not a hard choice. Now retired she is focusing on the favorite part of her former career: storytelling. Kathy is also learning more about her favorite hobbies, photography and graphic arts.

The event is all ages and is $5 (cash only) for each person. There is room for 10 storytellers each time and it is first come, first served. Sign up by purchasing one item and there are free refills on most beverages. Sign up at 5:00 p.m. and the stories begin at 5:30 p.m. Each storyteller receives six to eight minutes of stage time. The featured storyteller gets 10 minutes of stage time and 50% of the proceeds from the door.

After each event, the current featured storyteller draws the name for the following month’s storyteller.

If you are an artist, bring in your works and sell them. Let’s hear your elevator pitch. “Confessions” is perfect for all artists, authors, comedians, writers, poets, influencers, content creators, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, actors, storytellers, etc.

Gypsy Skirt Dance

Join Gina Marie Newman, Director of Blue Lotus World Dance Co., for a fun dance class designed to teach students lively skirt dancing!
The moves and combinations will be broken down in an easy to follow format. You will be flipping and twirling your fluffy skirt in no time! The class is suitable for beginners. 6th Annual Cancer Smash

Join us and work out for a cause that helps those right here in St. Augustine fighting cancer. Bring the family, ages 7+ are welcome, to participate in a fun workout that will be scaled for all levels and ages! Come sweat for a good cause! We hope you can help us raise funds for the Flagler Health Care Foundation Cancer Patient Funds.

Bellydance Basics Summer Series

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This fun and FREE adult six-part summer series will focus on understanding the movements that create the foundation of all styles of bellydance. Liz Boyett from St. Augustine Bellydance will break down basic bellydance isolations and steps while you experience a low-impact workout. No prior dance experience is necessary. Suggested attire: Be comfortable! Exercise/yoga pants with a fitted shirt or tank top is fine. Bare feet, socks, or dance shoes are acceptable, but no sneakers please.
