St. Augustine International Dance Festival

The third-annual St. Augustine International Dance Festival gala performance will take place Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 7 pm at Lewis Auditorium Flagler College in St. Augustine. Dancers from Port St. Lucie, St. Petersburg, St. Augustine and Atlanta, Georgia will converge in St. Augustine for three days of master classes culminating in a spectacular gala performance on Saturday evening, September 14th at 7 pm at Lewis Auditorium, Flagler College, 14 Granada St., St. Augustine, FL.

“This is a great opportunity for gifted young artists from diverse backgrounds to come together, study with international teachers, and perform together in this beautiful, historic location,” explained Luis Abella, Artistic Director of Saint Augustine Ballet and the festival’s organizer.

The festival is one of three annual events produced by the Saint Augustine Ballet, now in its eleventh season. The company’s other annual productions at Lewis Auditorium include the holiday classic “The Nutcracker” each December, and an original production each spring.

“This dance festival adds to our growing reputation as a center for the arts in Florida,” said Tommy Bledsoe, former board president of the St. Johns Cultural Council. “The arts continue to grow in prominence in St. Augustine thanks to the high quality of our local and visiting artists, and the vision of arts organizations such as the Saint Augustine Ballet.”

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, and may be purchased at the door beginning one hour before the performance. For more information, contact Saint Augustine Ballet at 904-810-5670, or visit their website at www.saintaugustineballet.com.
