Humane Society Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest

Calling all pets from sea to shining sea: the 11th Annual Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest awaits!

Your pet has the chance to be featured in the St. Augustine Humane Society’s 2022 “Paws Across America” Pin Up Paws Calendar. Snap an adorable photo of your pet, and enter our contest today! Be sure to add a fun description letting people know why they should vote for your pet.

For every $1 raised, your pet will receive one vote. All money raised will directly support the Humane Society’s lifesaving programs and resources. By participating in the contest, you are helping the many pets who would otherwise not receive the care they need.

The pet with the most votes at the close of the contest on Saturday, August 7th, will receive the coveted cover spot for the 2022 “Paws Across America” Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest. The 12 pets with the next highest number of votes will be our Second Place Winners.

All First and Second Place Winners will be a part of a special photoshoot with award-winning photographer, Addison Fitzgerald. Each month will feature winning pets in front of classic American images, such as the Redwoods, Statue of Liberty, Grand Canyon, and more, along with classic Americana props. We will reveal the 2022 “Paws Across America” Pin Up Paws Calendar at our Pin Up Paws Party on Thursday, October 21st! Our PUP Party is always fun, and this year will be no exception. Look forward to a delicious dinner, live music, silent auction, wine pull, and more!

Animal Totem Workshop

Learn how to connect with nature and find your inner voice. Y’all, we are gonna have so much fun!! Join us for a 90-minute Animal Totem workshop Saturday, February 27 at 10 AM eastern on Zoom. Yep, you can join from the privacy of your own home still in your jammies if you want to. Absolutely no judgment here.

In this workshop, we will explore:

1. The importance of connecting with nature and our animal friends.
2. How to translate the guidance the Universe is trying to deliver. You know important questions like, why did that dolphin acost you during spring break of 93’?
3. We will do a meditation to connect with your spirit animals and receive important guidance
4. And we will HAVE FUN and connect with some beautiful peeps. Whoooeeeee!

Join us for our third annual Adventures In Pet Care!

Spend the afternoon learning how to take care of the family pet at our Adventures In Pet Care event! This FUN event will provide families with information on the many aspects of proper pet ownership, such as veterinary care, microchipping, training, grooming, and more.

Fun for all ages including food, music, raffle prizes, and more!
Prizes: Dog and Cat Baskets from Petco

Learn about the resources provided by the St. Augustine Humane Society including pet behavior, training, nutrition, microchips, parasite prevention, veterinary care, and grooming.

Adventures In Pet Care

The St. Augustine Humane Society welcomes everyone to their Adventures In Pet Care on Saturday, April 13th, from noon to 4:00pm! Located at the Humane Society at 1665 Old Moultrie Road, Adventures In Pet Care is a humane education event focused on providing information on proper pet ownership to new pet parents or families considering adoption.

Educational tents include veterinary care, parasite control, pet nutrition, pet I.D., grooming, training, and more! We will also have K9 officers from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Augustine Beach Police Department. Other fun includes raffle prizes, food, and more!
