DESCRIPTION:When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia\, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow WI members to pose nude with them for an “alternative” calendar\, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the women’s charitable venture spreads like wildfire\, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. The calendar is a success\, but Chris and Annie’s friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found fame. \nRegular tickets are $26 for adults; $24 for ages 62 and older; $20 for military and students; and $10 student rush for students with I.D.\, available 30 minutes prior to curtain for available seats. Preview Night is the first Thursday of each production and is $15 per ticket. Terrific Tuesday\, the Tuesday after opening weekend only offers a special on 2 tickets for $30. One free ticket for children up to age 12 is available with purchase of full price ticket at $26; children age 13 and older pay adult price. \nShowtimes are 7:30 p.m. from Thursday – Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday evenings are special for tourists and locals alike as the St Augustine Beach Civic Association presents the 17th season of Music by the Sea. This free\, family friend event happens each Wednesday evening starting on May 7th and continues through September 11th. 19 weeks\, 19 different bands featuring music from multiple genres of music including Jazz\, Blues\, Classic Rock\, Country\, Disco\, Pop and Latin too. The event runs from 6 until 9 PM each Wednesday evening at the St Johns County Pier Park in the Pavilion. Each week a different local eatery provides optional food service with dinners priced at $10 or less. Patrons should bring their own blanket or beach chairs\, pack a cooler and get ready to dance. In the morning\, the Fountain of Youth will host a recreated 16th century-style military encampment\, featuring drills\, weapons demonstrations\, and living history interpretations. The reenactment will begin at 7pm at the city Gates\, proceed down St. George Street\, and end at the Plaza de la Constitución. It’s a piece of the city’s ancient history come to life on our streets. Regular park admission fees apply to the morning events.

DESCRIPTION:Historic Florida Militia will present the 30th annual reenactment of Sir Francis Drake’s raid on old St. Augustine on Saturday\, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Drake’s Raid is an annual event that re-creates this historic raid that occurred on June 6\, 1586\, when 2\,000 Englishmen in 23 ships attacked the Spanish settlement of St. Augustine. \nThe re-enactment will include a re-created 16th-century-style military encampment\, featuring drills\, weapon demonstrations and living history interpretations. \nAt 7:00 p.m.\, the reenactment of the sacking and burning of the town will begin at the City Gate and will proceed down St. George Street to end at the Plaza de la Constitución.This event commemorates the temporary abandonment of the city of St. Augustine by Spanish colonial forces. After the town was looted and burned by Drake’s men\, the Spanish returned to rebuild it. \nAdmission to this event is free.
