DESCRIPTION:St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church\, a mission church of the Cathedral Basilica Saint Augustine\, hosts its fourth annual Blues Fest to benefit rectory renovations at 86 Martin Luther King Jr Avenue in Lincolnville. Don’t miss the St. Benedict’s Blues Fest on Friday\, Oct. 19 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday\, Oct. 20 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. where parishioners are serving barbecue\, gumbo and blues! This year introducing a kid’s zone with crafts\, face painting and more. \nCommittee Members began renovating the rectory in 2011. The interior is now complete and restoration has started with exterior work on the brick and mortar. The historic landmark building is used by many ministries for organizational meetings and prayerful meditation.
