SUMMARY:CANCELLED – The Expendables “Winter Blackout Tour”
DESCRIPTION:The Expendables enjoyed a laid-back lifestyle growing up in Santa Cruz\, CA; surfing\, skating\, partying\, and playing music were commonplace. Since 1997\, The Expendables have staked their claim in the California surf/rock genre by headlining venues from coast to coast. Blending Reggae\, Punk Rock\, and 80s style dueling guitar solos\, The Expendables have made heads turn and floors shake for years. The band consists of four longtime friends: Geoff Weers (Guitar and Vocals)\, Adam Patterson (Drums and Vocals)\, Raul Bianchi (Lead Guitar) and Ryan DeMars (Bass).  The first seven years of their career was fueled with three full-length\, completely independent releases.  No Time To Worry (2000)\, Open Container (2001)\, and Gettin’ Filthy (2004)\, would bring in a combined total of over 40\,000 units sold with no physical distribution and no record label. \nArtikal Sound System is a reggae band from Delray Beach\, Florida. Blending roots and modern sounds under smooth female vocals\, they put their efforts towards bringing love\, good vibes and a dancing mood wherever they go. The band features Logan Rex\, Fabian Acuña\, Chris Montague\, Adam Kampf\, and Chris Cope. \nBased in Charlotte\, N.C.\, Of Good Nature\, has received quick attention to their newly released\, chart topping music. Rock\, Groove\, Alternative and Reggae are more popular descriptions of OGN’s fusion-friendly approach to today’s music\, but this group of prolific songwriters explore a range of styles that have led to a highly accessible sound. Recent full length album Timeless debuted at #1 on iTunes and #3 on Billboard (Reggae Albums Chart) in March 2019 and single “Take Me Anywhere” premiered on Sirius XM’s The Pulse.

SUMMARY:CANCELLED – Loving Beethoven Interactive Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED UNTIL THE CULTURAL CENTER REOPENS ON MARCH 30.\nIn 2020\, the world will celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach\, in partnership with MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum in Malaga\, Spain) is paying tribute to this milestone thanks to the traveling musical installation Loving Beethoven. The interactive music installation will be at the Cultural Center from March 6\, 2020 to May 26\, 2020. \nAt the end of June\, 2019\, Cultural Center Director Donna Guzzo visited the museum in Malaga\, Spain to start discussions with the MIMMA Director\, Miguel Angel Piedrola. After the visit to MIMMA\, Guzzo requested the collaboration with MIMMA to develop a program that will showcase music-related activities and host the exhibit in the United States at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The interactive nature of the MIMMA exhibits\, with galleries full of musical instruments where the public is encouraged to touch and try\, is one of the traits the Cultural Center is looking to replicate during the exhibit in Florida. \n“Loving Beethoven ties together the Cultural Center’s mission and the Center’s outreach program Sound Connections® Music Therapy perfectly. SUMMARY:POSTPONED – St. Augustine Race Week 2020
DESCRIPTION:Once again the First Coast Sailing Association and its associated yacht clubs are proud to bring to St. Augustine the premiere sailing event of the spring season. It’s an eight-day celebration of all types of sailing set in America’s oldest seaport city. In 2020 we’ll continue that great combination of competition and entertainment with spectator events and entertainment the entire city can enjoy. As always\, St Augustine Race Week offers Challenging Offshore Yacht Racing\, Exciting Inshore Yacht Racing and Inspiring Bayfront Youth Sailboat Racing for sailors from 12 – 92 arriving from up and down the Atlantic coast. Sailers will race their yachts on the Ocean in the River and on the Bay! FAST\, FUN and FRIENDLY events for Sailors\, Spectators and Party People on the Water and on the Land for a full week in St Augustine\, Florida. It’s the world-famous St Augustine Race Week – March 14-21\, 2020. \nRace Week 2020 includes all the features everyone loves including the best live local bands\, great food\, delicious rum drinks and convivial socializing with all your sailing friends – public is invited too – downtown in the Meehan’s Big Party Tent at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. To get your 2020 shirts\, hats\, sail bags and other paraphernalia\, check the merchandise page on the Race week website. And\, like the 2019 event\, hundreds of spectators will see the delightful spectacle of youngsters racing right off the Bayfront in their One-Design 420’s. We will even have a Dragon Boat demonstration on the Bayfront\, too! \nSomething for Every Boat. You don’t have to own an ocean-going boat to participate. Slightly smaller yachts and even trailerable sailing boats are invited to race in the popular Inshore Series in the Tolomato River just North of the Vilano Bridge. The Offshore Series is for serious racers who like lots of traditional round-the-buoys\, upwind-downwind racing. The Tactical Challenge Series presents a set of coordinates to be reached by any route sailors choose. \nKids – The Best Thing about the Regatta: In the summer of 2019 proceeds from St. Augustine Race Week enabled us to send nearly 40 underprivleged kids to various summer sailing camps around the area free of charge! That’s what we’re all about – giving less fortunate children a great summer experience and training the next generation of sailors. We’re looking forward to increasing that amount in 2020 and giving even more kids their first experience at the helm of a real sailboat. The 2020 SARW One-Design 420 Youth Regatta sails in the Matanzas Bay on its own special weekend\, March 14th & 15th. \nFor all the week’s racing events – from actual races to the parties and socials – visit this events page. \n  \nVisit the website for more details and a full race events schedule.

SUMMARY:CANCELLED – An Intimate Evening of Songs and Stories with Graham Nash
DESCRIPTION:Exclusive VIP Meet and Greet\, sound check\, and merchandise packages are available: \nGraham Nash Front Row – Meet & Greet VIP Package $401.50: Front row ticket\, Meet & Greet with Graham Nash during intermission\, one autographed tour poster\, one commemorative laminate\, early merchandise shopping. \nGraham Nash Soundcheck Package $301.50: Ticket in Rows B thru F\, preshow sound check access\, one autographed tour poster\, one commemorative laminate\, early merchandise shopping. \nGraham Nash Premium Package $181.50: Premium seating ticket\, one commemorative laminate\, early merchandise shopping. \n“Songs\, they have to be recorded or they drive you crazy just being inside your head.” — Graham Nash\, Summer 2019 \nLegendary artist Graham Nash is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee – with Crosby\, Stills\, and Nash and with the Hollies. He was also inducted twice into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame\, as a solo artist and with CSN\, and he is a GRAMMY Award winner. \nTowering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his long and multi-faceted career\, stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of the past half-century. His remarkable body of work\, beginning with his contributions to the Hollies opus from 1964 to ’68\, including “Stop Stop Stop\,” “On A Carousel\,” and “Carrie Anne\,” continues all the way to This Path Tonight (2016)\, his most recent solo album. Fifteen of his songs are celebrated in the 2018 release\, Over the Years…\, a 2-disc collection of some of Nash’s best-known works from the past 50 years and more than a dozen unreleased demos and mixes. \nThe original classic union of Crosby\, Stills & Nash (& Young) lasted but twenty months.  Yet their songs are lightning rods embedded in our DNA\, starting with Nash’s “Marrakesh Express\,” “Pre-Road Downs” and “Lady Of the Island\,” from the first Crosby\, Stills & Nash LP (1969).  On CSNY’s Déjà Vu (1970)\, Nash’s “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” beseeched us to hold love tightly\, to fend off the madness that was on its way. \nNash’s passionate voice continues to be heard in support of peace\, and social and environmental justice. The No Nukes/Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) concerts he organized with Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt in 1979 remain seminal benefit events.  In 2011\, Nash was instrumental in bringing MUSE back to the forefront with a concert to benefit Japan disaster relief and groups promoting non-nuclear energy worldwide. That same year\, he and Crosby were among the many musicians who made their way to the Occupy Wall Street actions in lower Manhattan. \nIn September 2013\, Nash released his long-awaited autobiography Wild Tales\, which delivers an engrossing\, no-holds-barred look back at his remarkable career and the music that defined a generation. The book landed him on the New York Times Best Sellers list\, and was released in paperback in late 2014.

SUMMARY:Lenten Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:A Lenten Organ Concert Series is offered at Memorial Presbyterian each year during the Wednesdays of Lent at 12:30pm. Guest recitalists come from across the community\, the country\, and the world to play Memorial’s 155-rank\, over five thousand pipe\, Aeolian-Skinner organ. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated. \nIn 1969\, Reverend Dr. David Redding and organist Everett Eubanks approached two long-term members of the congregation about funding a new pipe organ for the congregation. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson\, closely tied to the Mellon family of Pittsburgh\, Pennsylvania\, provided the money necessary for the project. The church selected the Aeolian-Skinner Pipe Organ Company of Boston\, Massachusetts\, to install the new pipe organ. The new organ contained 90 ranks and over 5\,000 pipes including the chimes from the old Roosevelt-Estey organ. In 1971\, the organ expanded with two additional divisions: the Bombarde division above the organ in the casework and the Antiphonal division in the north balcony. The Aeolian-Skinner organ at Memorial Church represents one of the “American Classic Organs” produced by the company during this period. In 2000\, R.A. Colby\, Inc. of Johnson City\, Tennessee\, rebuilt the organ console adding new MIDI technology to the organ allowing the organ to be played remotely in six locations throughout the sanctuary.

SUMMARY:CANCELLED – Woman’s Exchange Spring Luncheons 2020
DESCRIPTION:Those with reservations will receive a tax receipt for the ticket value to support the Woman’s Exchange Scholarship Fund\, a raincheck for the date of choice in the fall luncheon series\, or a full refund.\nBring your friends and join us in the spring for the popular twice-weekly luncheon series. Gourmet meals are prepared and served by members of The Woman’s Exchange under a large tented area in the garden. After enjoying a leisurely lunch\, browse our expanded shopping areas. Among the exclusive products is “The Woman’s Exchange Entertains\,” Volume Four of its members’ and friends’ special recipes\, many highlighting local flavors and traditions. \nOur luncheon series began in the late 1940s when the city’s hotels and tourist homes reopened after World War II to winter visitors. The gourmet meals\, made by Woman’s Exchange members from their own recipes\, were served buffet style on steam tables. Patrons then carried their plates to assigned tables covered by colorful garden umbrellas. After lunch\, they shopped in the Woman’s Exchange Gift Shop. \nToday\, there are two series of twice-weekly luncheons for three weeks in the Fall and three weeks in the Spring. All of our members are state-certified food handlers. Just as members before them\, they take care of all the preparations − menu planning\, cooking\, set up\, serving and clean-up. Many of the recipes are shared in our Woman’s Exchange cookbook\, which is for sale in our gift shop! \nThe luncheons include a full meal with dessert\, coffee or tea\, plus a $5 gift certificate on a $10 minimum purchase when you shop the day of the luncheon. In the Fall\, shopping spills over from the shop into Christmas in October\, where holiday gifts are shown in the expanded Peña-Peck House dining room\, visitors orientation center\, and the old kitchen. Likewise\, in the Spring\, the expanded shop\, called Miss Anna’s Boutique\, features Spring and Summer merchandise. In addition to showcasing the beautiful hand-crafted items made by our consignors\, we start searching for unusual and unique items at gift mart. We find that many of our guests plan their shopping\, particularly for the holidays\, around our annual sales. \nLunch is served at noon and shopping begins at 10:30 a.m. Opportunities abound in the Gift Shop\, Dining Room\, Visitor Orientation Center and the Old Kitchen for unique gifts. \nGuests may bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with lunch. Wine glasses are provided on request. \nTickets are $31.95\, which includes Florida Sales Tax and a $5 coupon to use in our expanded gift shop\, featuring hand-crafted products and unique items selected at gift mart.

SUMMARY:Dark of the Moon Tour
DESCRIPTION:The Dark of the Moon Ghost Tour is the only tour that gets you into the Lighthouse at night. The Lighthouse offers two options for this experience\, both of which include the option to rent EMF readers. \nGhost tour: This 1.5 to 2 hour tour includes a guided talk through the 1876 Keepers’ House and the 1874 St. Augustine Lighthouse tower. Your guide will share true tales from the history of our Light Station. Tours are offered year round on Friday\, Saturday and Sundays and more days during peak times. Purchase a combo ticket with regular daytime admission and save on this tour. Expect larger groups during peak season and holidays. \nInvestigation Only: See for yourself why we are consistently ranked as one of the most haunted sites in St. Augustine! Investigation Only tours are offered on a more limited basis than the Ghost Tour\, with fewer spaces available at each. Rent readers or bring your own equipment. \nSpace is limited! Purchase tickets online in advance to secure your spot. \nOn a Dark of the Moon Ghost Tour you not only hear spooky stories based on real history in the lighthouse at night\, you also help the Lighthouse investigate our maritime past. Ghost Tours support both maritime archaeology and historic research discoveries at the Museum. Stepping up to shiver down your spine helps save our underwater heritage!

In addition\, the certification program is very important to the average road racer\, as well as those of exceptional speed.
