The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach\, in partnership with MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum in Malaga\, Spain) is paying tribute to this milestone thanks to the traveling musical installation Loving Beethoven. The interactive music installation will be at the Cultural Center from March 6\, 2020 to May 26\, 2020. \nAt the end of June\, 2019\, Cultural Center Director Donna Guzzo visited the museum in Malaga\, Spain to start discussions with the MIMMA Director\, Miguel Angel Piedrola. After the visit to MIMMA\, Guzzo requested the collaboration with MIMMA to develop a program that will showcase music-related activities and host the exhibit in the United States at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The interactive nature of the MIMMA exhibits\, with galleries full of musical instruments where the public is encouraged to touch and try\, is one of the traits the Cultural Center is looking to replicate during the exhibit in Florida. \n“Loving Beethoven ties together the Cultural Center’s mission and the Center’s outreach program Sound Connections® Music Therapy perfectly. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, Romanza has brought the arts of the city to life with free concerts and performances and events that celebrate the vibrancy of the arts community in St. Augustine. The Festivale had originally been scheduled for 17 days from May 1 to May 17\, but all in-person events had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 emergency. But even though we won’t get to sit in an audience this year\, you can still experience the Festivale virtually! You can enjoy all of the talented participants in Romanza’s free “Home Stream” Festivale. \nThe livestream events will take place the weekend of May 15-17. Simply go to www.RomanzaFestivale.com when the portal is open\, to see the free streaming video. On Saturday\, May 16 starting at 10am\, they’ll be streaming all day and overnight on the website – more than two dozen concerts\, plays\, dance showcases\, poetry readings\, and more. Streaming on Sunday\, May 17 will also begin at 10am then continue all day and overnight with seven of the Celtic bands from Romanza’s Celtic Music & Heritage Festival. \nA full schedule is available online.
