SUMMARY:Sing Out Loud Festival
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored this year by the St. Augustine Distillery\, Sing Out Loud is the largest free music festival in Florida. This year’s festival will be held over four weekends between September 6 and 29\, 2019 and will feature hundreds of musical acts taking place at multiple venues around St. Augustine\, including downtown and at The Amp. All of the concerts are free and open to the public\, with the exception of The Benefit Concert taking place on September 21. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see these big names live!  \nThe festival features 334 performers ranging in genres from indie rock\, Americana\, blues\, hip-hop and\nelectronica to spoken word\, bluegrass\, punk rock\, jazz and comedy. After the scavenger hunt and music demonstrations\, come to the Mezzanine level overlooking the former Alcazar Hotel’s historic pool area to create your own music-themed craft. You’ll also want to explore our museum store where we have exciting musically inspired items. \nJoin the Lightner Museum and Smithsonian Magazine in celebrating “A Year of Music.” Museum Day’s annual celebration of boundless curiosity provides free admission for two people with Smithsonian Museum Day tickets. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission for two on Saturday\, September 21\, 2019. \nTickets are available to download from smithsonianmag.com. DESCRIPTION:The local nonprofit\, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance is hosting their 10th annual Peace in the Park event to honor the International Day of Peace on Saturday\, September 21. \nThis family-friendly event will feature multiple activities including live music by The Peaceniks\, yoga for kids\, origami activities\, peace poles\, and\, of course\, the annual Human Peace Sign. Guests can begin to line up for the Human Peace Sign at 11:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring jars of peanut butter\, which will be used to form a Pyramid of Peace that will later be distributed to seniors in need. \nPie in the Sky has been helping thousands of people throughout St. Johns County over the last ten years. Based in Hastings\, FL\, the organization delivers fresh produce to low-income senior citizens throughout the community. \nThis event is free and open to the public!

DESCRIPTION:St. Augustine’s EMMA Concert Series presents Neil Berg’s musical revue\, “50 Years of Rock and Roll\,” at the Lewis Auditorium on Saturday\, September 21. \n“50 Years of Rock and Roll” will feature a cast of rock and roll singers and stars from Broadway’s greatest rock musicals\, accompanied by an all-star band. The program recreates some of the most memorable moments from rock’s glory years of the ’50s\, ’60s\, and ’70s\, right through ’80s and ’90s\, including the advent of MTV. \nThere will be tributes with stories and the groundbreaking music of such icons as Chuck Berry\, Elvis Presley\, Ray Charles\, Bob Dylan\, The Beatles\, Beach Boys\, Janis Joplin\, The Who\, Led Zeppelin\, Elton John\, Stevie Wonder\, the Eagles\, Fleetwood Mac\, and Bruce Springsteen. \nAdmission:  \nTickets to this event are $40 for adults and $5 for children and students with ID.
