SUMMARY:Colonial Night Watch
DESCRIPTION:This day-long annual event invites attendees to re-witness history as our city re-creates the Night Watches that took place in garrison towns back in 1739. It is said that back then\, any citizen who remained on the streets after the city gates were locked were required to carry a light so they could be seen and identified by the Night Watch. The day’s activities will begin with firearm demonstrations at the Castillo followed by reenactments at The Colonial Quarter. The Night Watch procession will begin at 7 pm with a cannon firing. The procession will then lead to a parade in which soldiers and militia can be found singing Christmas Carols for the holiday season. \nThis event is free and open to the public\, so don’t miss out!

DESCRIPTION:International pianist\, Maria Dolores Gaitán is coming to perform for a weekend at The Cultural Center in Ponte Vedra Beach. Gaitán will be performing two concerts as well as hosting workshops for attendees to participate in on the first weekend of December.\nThe concerts will be held Thursday and Friday evening\, December 5-6 and the workshops will be held on Saturday\, December 7 and will include 6 one-hour-long sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear beautiful music\, and be taught by an internationally acclaimed pianist\, so don’t miss out!\n\nTickets for the concerts are $20 for adults\, kids under the age of 10 get in for free.\nTickets for the workshops are $75 per session.\nAll proceeds from this event will benefit the Cultural Center’s educational and cultural programming and project\, La Florida\, the interactive digital archive of the Americas.
