Scott Nicol:\nAs “America’s premiere painter of books”\, Nicol uses books as the vehicle through which he expresses his emotions. Creating his art is a painstaking process of research\, intricate composition\, and detailed painting. So far\, Nicol has created over 50 paintings encompassing over 250 books. \nHis artwork is in galleries throughout the country and purchased by art collectors around the world. These paintings can touch people in a very deep and meaningful way and he finds it gratifying to receive compliments on the detail and realism. Nicol believes the true reward is in the process of making art. Taking a blank canvas and transforming it with oil paint and brush into books that not only tell the story of his life but of our collective popular culture.

DESCRIPTION:To start off the three-day Historic Lincolnville Festival\, join the community for Jazz Music at the center. The weekend will be centered around African American Educators.  There will be food\, dancing\, kids activities\, and tours and it is one of the best events of the year in downtown St. Augustine!\n \nFriday\, November 8 is the only day of the festival which there is a $20 per ticket fee. Saturday\, November 9 and Sunday\, November 10 are both free and open to the public.   \n Either way\, all three dates are ones that you should attend\, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to enjoy food\, drink\, plenty of activities and more all while soaking up the history that is Lincolnville.
