DESCRIPTION:On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month\, the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTMNERR) hosts classes for the whole family to learn how to use seine nets to collect various fish and crab species. Visitors will get the chance to pull a seine net through Guana Lake\, collecting species of fish\, crabs and more\, and then learn about the animals and their roles in the habitat. The free event is led by a naturalist and all necessary gear is provided. DESCRIPTION:Register for the annual Santa-themed 5k to get into the holiday spirit! The race follows a flat 3.1 Mile course through St. Augustine Beach neighborhoods and starts and finishes at St. Augustine Beach Pier Park. Proceeds from the race benefit the St. Augustine Youth Services. The first 100 participants who register will be given a Santa suit to run in and everyone else show up in your best holiday inspired running outfit! Registration fee is $30-$35.

Taking place at World Golf Village in St. Augustine\, Florida\, the event is expected to be bigger and better than ever\, replete with a holiday theme. Tour de Cure seeks to raise funds and awareness for diabetes: America’s #1 chronic health crisis. People of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in the combined event – whether a 12\, 40 or 60-mile Cycle or a 5K Run/Walk. Registration remains open through December 1. Participants can register for $30 through November 31. The fee will be raised to $35 for participants registering day-of on December 1. Fundraising minimums for the ride are $200 and $100 for the Run / Walk. All proceeds from the Tour de Cure benefit the American Diabetes Association (ADA)\, which protects the rights of people with diabetes\, and funds critical research to find a cure.

And together\, SurfQuest is Ohana. \nSurfQuest empowers people with disabilities by providing adaptive surfing instruction and therapeutic educational programs on water recreation and enriches lives by assisting families to access the beach and ocean together in a barrier-free environment. \nSurfQuest acts as an advocate for accessibility to the water that will allow people with limited mobility to reach the beach (i.e. wheelchairs\, assisted devices\, strollers\, etc.). \nSurfQuest provides adaptive equipment with education and training for the advancement of adaptive surfing. \nSurfQuest develops partnerships to expand awareness and support of safe adaptive water recreation.
