DESCRIPTION:Join us for our inaugural Whitney Lab 5K – a virtual walk/run for marine science! Complete a 5K walk or run anywhere\, anytime between May 30 – June 5 to celebrate the wonders of marine life with this year’s featured animal – the green sea turtle! \nAll 5K proceeds will go to the Whitney Laboratory gift fund\, a general fund that provides for the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory. It powers the labs programming including community lectures\, public education\, facilities improvements\, public events\, and critical student experiences at the lab. It is essential to operating all the programs at the lab! \nAPRIL 19 – MAY 9: $30\nThose registered by May 9 have the option to pick up their shirt and medal at Whitney Laboratory on June 5 or have them mailed after June 5. \nMAY 10 – JUNE 4: $35\nThose who register May 10-June 4 have the option to pick up their medal at Whitney Laboratory on June 5 or have the medal\, along with their shirt\, mailed after June 5. \nONLY THE FIRST 125 REGISTRANTS WILL HAVE A MEDAL INCLUDED WITH THEIR REGISTRATION. ALL REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A SHIRT.
