SUMMARY:International Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join the ranks of volunteers in 91 countries for a global effort to keep our shorelines clean and beautiful. The local effort will take place on the beaches from Marineland to Flagler Beach. The GTM Research Reserve Environmental Education Center will act as headquarters for volunteers to check in and pick up supplies. Volunteers should bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.

DESCRIPTION:Fort Matanzas is hosting an event where participants can take their dogs on a guided nature walk around the park. A veterinarian will be available to talk about dog health and safety in the outdoors\, and an Audubon volunteer will take about how to mitigate the impact dogs can have on the environment and wildlife. DESCRIPTION:SurfQuest is bringing more and more people with Intellectual and Development Disabilities together with a growing cadre of active volunteers to introduce the fun and comradery of surfing. There is true joy in seeing the men\, women\, and children cheering\, smiling and hurrying back for more\, wave after wave. \nSurfQuest is a free monthly beach-day for anyone with a disability.\nAll ages and disabilities are welcome. And together\, SurfQuest is Ohana. \nSurfQuest empowers people with disabilities by providing adaptive surfing instruction and therapeutic educational programs on water recreation and enriches lives by assisting families to access the beach and ocean together in a barrier-free environment. \nSurfQuest acts as an advocate for accessibility to the water that will allow people with limited mobility to reach the beach (i.e. wheelchairs\, assisted devices\, strollers\, etc.). \nSurfQuest provides adaptive equipment with education and training for the advancement of adaptive surfing. \nSurfQuest develops partnerships to expand awareness and support of safe adaptive water recreation.
