DESCRIPTION:Chocolate and Beyond\, a celebration of chocolate\, desserts\, and other delectable culinary treats\, will be held on Sat.\, Feb. 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. at First Coast Technical College\, CHARACTER COUNTS! Conference Center in St. Augustine. Guests will enjoy tasty samples from some of the area’s finest restaurants and specialty shops.  A silent auction and contests will also be part of this fun and exciting afternoon. \nHosted by TASK – Teacher’s Aid for Student Knowledge\, proceeds from Chocolate and Beyond are utilized to recruit\, train\, and recognize RSVP senior volunteers in the St. Johns County School District and other locations around the county.  Tickets ($20 for adults\, $10 for all under 12 years of age) can be purchased at https://rsvpofstjohns.ticketleap.com/chocolate–beyond2020/\, at Whetstone Chocolates (139 King Street and 13 Anastasia Blvd in St. Augustine)\, or by calling RSVP at (904) 547-3945.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

DESCRIPTION:The St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival will kick off Friday evening on Feb. 28 with the Cava Reception and Wine Pairing Dinner at Flagler College’s Solarium. Guests will experience an elegant evening featuring a Spanish-inspired dinner with each course paired with fine Spanish wine. The St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival concludes on Saturday\, Feb. 29 with the Grand Tasting at the Flagler College Markland House\, Crisp-Ellert Art Museum\, and Alumni House. At the Grand Tasting guests will be able to sample more than 100 authentic Spanish wines. Knowledgeable wine professionals will provide interesting information and answer any questions about the wines.

DESCRIPTION:The 38th annual Lighthouse 5K and Fun Run will take place this year in conjunction with the annual Night Fest. Taking place this year on Saturday\, February 29\, this celebration is one you don’t want to miss. \nThe Night Fest is a community-wide gathering for everyone to enjoy\, the lighthouse and museum will be free and open to the public from 4 to 8 pm\, and all proceeds raised at the Night Fest will benefit the museum. DESCRIPTION:On the 29th day of the leap year\, 2020\, guests will be invited to come through the gates of the invitation only venue\, Fantasy Farms\, for a whimsical cocktail party. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Local restaurants and mixologists will have their best hand crafted whimsical desserts and cocktails for guests to sample and vote for their favorites. After sampling the best whimsical desserts and cocktails\, guests can enjoy live entertainment\, bid on silent auction items\, and explore Fantasy Farms’ vast property\, which includes beautiful rescue animals\, classic cars\, and kitschy artifacts. Proceeds from Tipsy Tea will benefit Fostering Connections St. Johns’ leadership programs and a college scholarship for youth transitioning out of foster care.
