SUMMARY:Bikini Race 2019
DESCRIPTION:Women are at the helm during this annual race for a good cause! Hosted by the St. Augustine Sailing Sisters\, the Bikini Race is made up of crews that are at least 50% women and always have a woman at the helm. There will be a launch party on Friday night at Meehan’s Irish Pub\, and the race itself will begin at 1pm on Saturday. Spectators will get the best views from the Vilano Bridge or Kingfish Grille. Awards and a reception will be held immediately following the race. Proceeds benefit the Betty Griffin Center. \n

DESCRIPTION:In support of local and national law enforcement\, join members of the St. Augustine community for neighborhood block parties\, cookouts\, festivals and other activities. This event is a nationwide event. Members of law enforcement\, including police officers and firefighters will be available to demonstrate safety practices and give insight on what to do if someone needs help. There will also be food\, live music\, and entertainment for children. This event is free and all ages are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:It doesn’t matter if you walk\, run\, jog\, or use a wheelchair\, this 5k is for you! Alex Landis was passionate about raising awareness for neuromuscular disabilities (aka NMD) even though she was herself\, in a wheelchair. This 5k\, started in her honor and her impact on those around her\, is a way\, through the proceeds gathered from registration fees\, is a way to raise money for NMD United and the Alexis Landis Difference Maker Scholarship.  \nRegistration fee begins at $25 per person before June 30\, $30 between July 1 and August 16 and $35 the day off. Spectators are also welcome at no cost!

DESCRIPTION:The 1st Annual STA Music Fest will be held at the Front Porch of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday\, August 24. \nThe music festival/fundraiser will feature live music by Salt & Pine\, Brett Bass & the Melted Plectrum\, The Space Heaters\, Remedy Tree\, and The Young Step. There will also be a silent auction for a guitar autographed by Emmylou Harris. \nAll proceeds raised will go to Junior Service League of St. Augustine\, who in turn puts it back into the community. \nTickets are $10.00 per person.
