DESCRIPTION:The Art Galleries of Saint Augustine founded and sponsors the award-winning First Friday Art Walk event on the first Friday of every month. Galleries open their doors from 5-9pm\, offering new art exhibits and lively receptions to the public. Start your free self-guided tour at any of the Art Galleries of Saint Augustine galleries. Most galleries are within close walking distance to each other; some are just a short ride away. Hop aboard the free Art Walk trains and trolleys that run throughout downtown. \nFeast on great arts & eats and the sounds of live music—rain or shine! For the late-nighters\, the celebration continues with “after parties” at area clubs and restaurants. Parking locations are shown on the map. Parking after 5pm is free except at the Historic Parking Garage. \nFrom 6-9pm\, Ripley’s Red Sightseeing Trains and The Old Town Trolleys provide free transportation during the Art Walk. The shuttles run every 20-30 minutes on a continuous loop (see map)\, allowing easy access to most of the downtown member galleries. Join SAYS as we raise awareness of Child Abuse in NE FL and celebrate 30+ years of serving children in St. Johns County. \nOur 7th Annual Child Abuse Prevention event ‘Party for Prevention’ will return Thursday\, April 23rd on our SAYS campus. Dozens of community organizations and entities will be present to host activities and games (corn hole tournaments\, giant chess\, face painting\, and more) and share prevention materials. Tour our campus\, stop by our snack bar\, and enjoy live entertainment! (Music and performances TBA). \nThe event will also celebrate the opening of our Hardy Family Playground and the 5th Anniversary of our Mobile Crisis Response Team! \nThe event is completely FREE. \nBy working together as a community\, we all can play a part in promoting children’s emotional well-being and strengthening families. During the month of April and throughout the year\, St. Augustine Youth Services is dedicated to supporting families and reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect.

DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.\nExplore and learn about the estuarine habitat of Salt Run and the maritime hammocks as well as the amazing array of wildlife and plants that are indigenous to the various ecosystems of Anastasia State Park as you wander the stunning local shoreline. The two-hour walks starts at the shoreline\, heads up through the dunes\, on the boardwalk over the salt marsh\, and finishes along Salt Run. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring binoculars\, a camera\, drinking water\, bug spray\, and sunscreen. \nThe event is free with park admission.
