The former Hotel Alcazar’s Spanish Renaissance Revival style building provides a fitting stage for the duo’s multi-lingual delivery of songs in English\, Spanish\, and Portuguese. A beer & wine bar will be available for donations. Guests may enter Lightner Museum’s lobby through the Granada Street courtyard located across from Flagler College’s Lewis Auditorium. DESCRIPTION:SurfQuest empowers people with disabilities by providing adaptive surfing instruction and therapeutic educational programs on water recreation and enriches lives by assisting families to access the beach and ocean together in a barrier-free environment. They act as an advocate for accessibility to the water that will allow people with limited mobility to reach the beach (i.e. wheelchairs\, assisted devices\, strollers\, etc.). This monthly beach day is free and open for all ages and disabilities. They provide adaptive equipment with education and training for the advancement of adaptive surfing. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The historic Tolomato Cemetery hosts guided tours of the grounds on the third Saturday of every month from 11 am to 3 pm. The grounds were in use as a cemetery from the 18th century until 1864 and is the final resting place to some 1\,000 St. Augustinians. \nThis guided tour encourages attendees to come and learn about the rich history of the cemetery\, and those from an array of cultures who rest there. Some including Spanish\, Cuban\, Greek\, Minorcan\, African\, Irish\, and Haitian. This event is an opportunity to learn about the true stories of the people\, as well as the tales of our oldest city. \nAdmission is free. \n

DESCRIPTION:The local nonprofit\, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance is hosting their 10th annual Peace in the Park event to honor the International Day of Peace on Saturday\, September 21. \nThis family-friendly event will feature multiple activities including live music by The Peaceniks\, yoga for kids\, origami activities\, peace poles\, and\, of course\, the annual Human Peace Sign. Guests can begin to line up for the Human Peace Sign at 11:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring jars of peanut butter\, which will be used to form a Pyramid of Peace that will later be distributed to seniors in need. \nPie in the Sky has been helping thousands of people throughout St. Johns County over the last ten years. Based in Hastings\, FL\, the organization delivers fresh produce to low-income senior citizens throughout the community. \nThis event is free and open to the public!
