DESCRIPTION:The local nonprofit\, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance is hosting their 10th annual Peace in the Park event to honor the International Day of Peace on Saturday\, September 21. \nThis family-friendly event will feature multiple activities including live music by The Peaceniks\, yoga for kids\, origami activities\, peace poles\, and\, of course\, the annual Human Peace Sign. Guests can begin to line up for the Human Peace Sign at 11:00 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring jars of peanut butter\, which will be used to form a Pyramid of Peace that will later be distributed to seniors in need. \nPie in the Sky has been helping thousands of people throughout St. Johns County over the last ten years. Based in Hastings\, FL\, the organization delivers fresh produce to low-income senior citizens throughout the community. \nThis event is free and open to the public!

The program recreates some of the most memorable moments from rock’s glory years of the ’50s\, ’60s\, and ’70s\, right through ’80s and ’90s\, including the advent of MTV. \nThere will be tributes with stories and the groundbreaking music of such icons as Chuck Berry\, Elvis Presley\, Ray Charles\, Bob Dylan\, The Beatles\, Beach Boys\, Janis Joplin\, The Who\, Led Zeppelin\, Elton John\, Stevie Wonder\, the Eagles\, Fleetwood Mac\, and Bruce Springsteen. \nAdmission:  \nTickets to this event are $40 for adults and $5 for children and students with ID.

SUMMARY:Gala of The Royal Horses
DESCRIPTION:The Gala of The Royal Horses is coming to St. Augustine on Sunday\, September 22. This event will be celebrating the traditional performances of the famous riding schools in Vienna and Spain. The show has been recreated by Riding Master René Gasser\, whose family has trained these horses for seven generations. \nThe Royal Horses of Europe are world-famous for their performances that feature the Lipizzaner Stallions\, the Spanish Andalusian\, and Friesian horses\, as well as the recently added quarter horse. The maneuvers executed by horse and rider show off the beauty and athleticism of the horses and the training skills of the riders. \nGasser’s recent productions in Australia have included “Lipizzaners with the Stars\,” “Equestra\,” and “The Horseman from Snowy River.” His new show\, The Gala of The Royal Horses\, will include “Airs Above the Ground\,” the “Arts of Garrocha\,” and “Roman Riding.” \nAdmission:  \nGeneral admission prices are $40 for adults\, $30 for seniors\, and $15 for children. \nVIP tickets\, which include access to an open-seating VIP area and a meet and greet with performers and horses after the show\, are available for $50 for adults 13 and over and $25 for kids ages 4-12. \n

DESCRIPTION:“Confessions of the Corazon” returns to the Corazon Cinema and Cafe with Kathy Kniery as our featured storyteller\, on September 26th. According to her Tale Tellers of St. Augustine bio\, it states: \nKathy is a recently transplanted Illinoisan. After 30 years of serving in public and private schools as a library/media specialist and sometimes social studies teacher\, she gave up cold weather and snow for sunshine and ocean breezes. It was not a hard choice. Now retired she is focusing on the favorite part of her former career: storytelling. Kathy is also learning more about her favorite hobbies\, photography and graphic arts. \nRetired educator and storyteller and a fan of the CUBS! The featured storyteller gets 10 minutes of stage time and 50% of the proceeds from the door. \nAfter each event\, the current featured storyteller draws the name for the following month’s storyteller. \nIf you are an artist\, bring in your works and sell them.
