DESCRIPTION:Children aged 5 – 14 are invited to tour and learn about the different types of prints on view in our Museum’s collection and in the Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist exhibition. Lightner museum educators will provide a richer understanding of the types of printmaking while encouraging young visitors to truly look and appreciate why artists choose to work in their selected print media. Our tour will be followed by an enjoyable printmaking activity. Little Lightners (ages 5 – 9 accompanied by an adult) will meet from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and Lightner Leaders (ages 10 – 14) will meet from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children with an additional $5 fee for parents living outside of St. Johns County. DESCRIPTION:On the third Saturday of every month\, the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve hosts a guided walking tour at Guana South Beach from 9 to 11 am.  This walking tour is a two-hour long hike and participants will learn about the various species of life that call the area home. \nAfter the tour\, guests can return to the visitor center\, continue to hike the nearby trails or go to the beach. \nAdmission is free\, but parking is $3 \nPlease note\, you must register for a spot in the tour on their website.

DESCRIPTION:A favorite annual local event\, Music by the Sea lets guests relax in the ocean breeze\, sample the delicious foods of local restaurants\, and listen to some fantastic tunes. It’s a family-friendly celebration of all things St. Augustine Beach! Each week\, a different restaurant sponsors the event and a different artist performs. Concerts take place rain or shine\, though they may be canceled if the weather is severe. Entrance to the event is free\, and meals are $10 or less per person. Food is served at 6pm\, and the concert begins at 7pm.

Live music will be provided by Oak&Flower. \nThe event is completely FREE. \nBy working together as a community\, we all can play a part in promoting children’s emotional well-being and strengthening families. During the month of April and throughout the year\, St. Augustine Youth Services is dedicated to supporting families and reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect.
