Patrons are welcome to vote for their favorite chowders to decide which wins the “People’s Choice” award. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers\, Big Sisters of St. Johns County. \nThis event is free and open to the public\, but tickets for chowder tastes will be sold for $1 each.  \n

DESCRIPTION:Vilano Fest is an event that celebrates the history\, future\, individuality and togetherness of Vilano Beach. The event consists of The Sea Turtle Soiree on Saturday\, November 2nd\, which is a 1920’s themed party which takes place under a 200 foot lighted tent at the end of the Vilano Beach Pier with music by RAMONA Big Band and food catered by The Reef restaurant. On Sunday\, November 3rd there is a Tour of Homes where all guests are transported by Old Town Trolley and features a variety of homes with amazing water views. This year we also have a ‘refreshment’ stop on tour where local restaurants including Beaches\, Puccini’s and Everything Bagel will be serving up food along with music by Chelsea Saddler and Jim Johnston. This is the 3rd Annual Event\, which draws people from all over the North Florida region including Jacksonville\, Ponte Vedra\, St. Augustine and in partnership with North Shores Improvement Association\, proceeds are invested back into the community to help improve quality of life\, lighting and walkability.

Also\, the Nisiotes and Asteria Greek dance troupes will demonstrate the rich culture of Greek dance. Visitors can learn the steps and participate. \nKids\nThis family-friendly event includes an outdoor marketplace and a Kids Center offering games\, rides and activities. Vendor booths will be set up throughout the Festival\, offering jewelry\, arts and crafts and more. In addition\, a selection of reading material on the Greek Orthodox faith\, icons and other unique items will be available for purchase. \nGreek Food and Drink\nThe Greek Festival offers an amazing array of Greek foods\, pastries and beverages\, including moussaka\, dolmades\, souvlaki\, spanakopita and pastitsio.
