SUMMARY:2nd Annual Brewers’ Festival
DESCRIPTION:St. Augustine’s second annual Brewers’ Festival will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday\, May 8\, 20201 at the beautiful Fountain of Youth Archeological Park\, 11 Magnolia Ave. The festival will include free tastings from 20+ regional breweries\, local food trucks\, face painting and live music; all while enjoying one of St. Augustine’s most scenic and historical locations. Each attending brewery is encouraged to not only bring a unique offering but a true brewery representative to share insights to their creations and answer all of your questions. This is a great opportunity to try small batch beers right in your backyard\,” said organizers. \nIn addition to the regional brewers\, four of St. Augustine’s breweries will be part of the event — Bog Brewing Company\, Dog Rose Brewing Co.\, Ancient City Brewing and Old Coast Ales. \nUnlimited beer tastings from the craft breweries will be the highlight of the second annual St. Augustine Brewers’ Fest. Each ticketholder will receive a commemorative 6-ounce tasting glass. \nFood will be available from three favorite local trucks — Wingin’ It\, Funkadelic\, and El Agave Azul. Being true to a community event\, family-friendly activities include face painting and plenty of space for kids to run around. Merchandise for sale during the event will include T-shirts\, koozies\, and hats\, all created by Skinny Lizard T-shirt Printers. . and Keepers of the Coast will sponsor a water bottle refill station. \nGeneral admission is $40 in advance and $45 the day of the event. A limited number of VIP tickets at $100 each will be available in advance. VIP tickets include guaranteed on-site parking\, access to the climate-controlled pavilion\, private restrooms\, a catered buffet\, a festival tasting glass\, and full festival access. Designated drivers can attend at no charge. DD bracelets will be when arriving at the event. Tickets are available starting March 1 at stabrewersfest.com \nThe festival organizers are establishing a nonprofit called Brewing a Community. \n“We started the Brewers’ Fest with the encouragement of the St. Johns County Visitors & Convention Bureau\, in hopes to bring an annual event to St. Augustine in May\,” explained Doug Murr\, one of the festival organizers and owner of Dog Rose Brewing Co. “With an established brewing community in St. Augustine and throughout the state\, we knew we would be able to put together a fest that could showcase breweries from all over Florida. By creating Brewing a Community\, we are able to host beer-centric charity events throughout the community.” \nThis rain or shine event will benefit local charitable organizations.
