SUMMARY:Jacksonville Taco & Tequila Festival
DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to join us on Sunday\, May 2nd for the ultimate Cinco de Mayo celebration! The Inaugural Jacksonville Taco & Tequila Festival is a culinary experience and fundraiser featuring Mexican cuisine from over 10 restaurants and food trucks\, as well as tequila stations\, craft margaritas\, local makers\, games\, live music\, and more! A limited amount of General Admission Experience tickets as well as VIP Sip & Savor Passes will be available for purchase but are expected to sell out due to limited capacity. \nThe festival is a fundraiser for The Wagoner Foundation\, Chemo Noir\, Fur Sisters\, The Jacksonville Jaycees\, and several other Jacksonville nonprofits. It’s scheduled to take place on Sunday\, May 2nd from 11am-8pm under the Fuller Warren Bridge at the Northbank Riverwalk Artist Square (same location as the Riverside Arts Market). \nGeneral Admission Experience Tickets: $15 NOW | $30 DAY OF (LIMITED AVAILABILITY)\n\nONE complimentary beer\, craft cocktail or margarita\nA wristband for access to purchase food and drink from all participating restaurants and beverage stations.\nSouvenir Face Mask \nVIP Sip & Savor Passes: $65 NOW | $95 DAY OF (LIMITED AVAILABILITY)\n\nAccess to the private VIP Experience Area\nSample a flight of top shelf tequilas\nSample craft cocktails & margaritas\nTaste & vote on ALL the tacos from participating restaurants\nPrivate restrooms & seating areas\nSouvenir Face Mask + Cup\n+ more \nCapacity in this area will be limited & there will be two sampling time frames: 11:30am-2:30pm & 4:00 pm-7:00pm. (Please make sure when purchasing to double check your time slot) \n\n\nCOVID 19 SAFETY:\n\nTo ensure the health and safety of all guests\, staff\, and participants\, the Jacksonville Taco & Tequila Festival has implemented the following COVID-19 mitigation protocols: \nFace Coverings\n\nFace coverings will be required upon entry and within the event site at all times\, unless actively eating or drinking in a stationary position while maintaining physical distance from others. \nFace Coverings Ejection Policy\n\nThe first time a staff member or security personnel identifies someone not properly wearing a mask\, they will be reminded to put on their mask. The second time this occurs\, they will be given a verbal warning and informed that if they are seen not properly wearing a mask for a third time\, they will be asked to leave the event. The third time this occurs\, the individual will be asked to leave the event. \nSanitation\n\nHand sanitizer stations and foot-pump hand washing stations will be placed throughout the event. In addition\, there will be bathrooms with running water for hand washing. \nAll surfaces will be disinfected prior to the event.\n\nDuring the event\, cleaning crews will continue to sanitize high-touch surfaces with disinfectant. \nSeating\n\nPicnic tables will be spaced throughout the event so households can eat and drink among their group. \nBag Policy\n\nSecurity will be checking all bags upon entry. Clear bags are strongly encouraged to speed up this process. No outside food or beverage is allowed into the event. \nHealth Screening:\n\nBy attending the Jacksonville Taco + Tequila Festival\, the attendee is agreeing to the following health questionnaire: \n\nHave you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days?\nHave you had any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days?\nFever or chills\nCough\nShortness of breath of difficulty breathing\nFatigue\nMuscle or body aches\nHeadache\nNew loss of taste or smell\nSore Throat\nCongestion or runny nose\nNausea or vomiting\nDiarrhea\nHave you been in close contact with any individual who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?\nDo you have any reason to believe you or anyone in your household has been exposed to or acquired COVID-19?\n\nIf you have answered yes to any of these questions\, you are not permitted to enter the facility.\n\nFor other questions or if you’re interested in volunteering or being a sponsor or vendor\, please email JaxTacoFest@Gmail.com
