Session price includes admission to the festival. \nWe are thrilled to announce our new location and our partnership with the Friends of St Augustine Amphitheatre to bring our community a day full of music\, creativity\, food and fun! The 3rd Annual St. Augustine Makers Fest™ presented by F.O.S.A.A will be held Sunday Dec 9\, 2018 at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The event which runs from 11am-5pm serves as a principal fundraiser for the St. Augustine Public Montessori School\, a 501c3 non-profit and St. Johns County Public charter school. Admission is $5 for adults\, kids FREE! \nLocal artisans will be showcasing their amazing crafts and leading in-depth workshops. \nThis year we introduce Making Worlds where making station crafts are separated into Paper World\, Textile World and Nature World under the big top of the Amphitheatre. Our stations provide making opportunities for Makers of all ages to create a quality craft that can be given as a gift or kept for yourself. \nTo get your making on\, make sure to take advantage of our 25% off ticket discount presale\, by visiting Simple Gestures (Anastasia Blvd near the Lighthouse) starting Nov 16. OR visit our booth at the Nov 27 Tuesday Night Market or Dec 1 Saturday Market. Tickets are also used for food and beverage purchases. DESCRIPTION:The festive celebration of Makers of all kinds will offer a wide variety of fun\, hands-on activities at designated Makers Stations\, where participants of all ages may tap into their own creative spirit and create something unique and beautiful of their own. The event will also showcase one-of-a-kind gifts\, art\, unique apparel\, jewelry\, home décor and more from over 40 local and regional artisans\, artists\, chefs and brewers. For those wishing to explore their creativity in greater depth\, select artisans will be offering educational workshops. New this year\, children will thrill to discover a Gingerbread Forest play area that will challenge them to create a 3-dimensional world with life-size “gingerbread” boxes. \n“This is a celebration of creativity in action\,” explains Rachel Sobenes-Desme\, St. Augustine artist and Creative Director for the event. “The Makers Station activities and workshops engage children as well as adults to just jump in and enjoy the thrill of making and doing in a world that is more and more caught up with consuming and watching.” \nFoodies will relish an exciting array of culinary offerings\, including authentic artisan foods\, beverages\, local food trucks\, and craft beers in the Makers Fest beer garden. Two stages\, sponsored by Friends of the St Augustine Amphitheatre\, will feature performances including live music\, dance and a special appearance by The Venardos Circus\, rounding out a full day of family fun sure to engage all of the senses. This year will see brand new Makers Stations\, as well as the return of a few favorites\, grouped into Paper World\, Textile World and Nature World. Art installations will be located at the entrance to each immersive world\, along with a lounge area for relaxation and conversation – all under the big top of the Amphitheatre.

DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in experimenting with watercolors? This workshop is open to everyone\, whether you have experience with watercolors\, or the last time you let your creative side free was art class in school. We’ll be painting a wreath and you have the choice of making it festive for the holidays\, or keeping it more generic to be displayed year round. You also have the option to paint a word\, name or monogram inside your wreath — so start thinking about what you’d like do! Sizing options will be 6×6\, 6×9 or 9×12. We will go over some watercolor techniques and tips\, as well as some ideas on how you can display your new piece of art! Includes price of admission to the festival.
