Fort Mose is situated along the Atlantic Flyway and boasts several natural environments where birds thrive. You can explore an estuarine tidal marsh\, a maritime hammock\, and “Rookery Island\,” which is home to many nesting species in the spring. \nGuests are encouraged to dress for the weather (this is Florida after all!) and bring binoculars\, water\, comfortable walking shoes\, and a field guide if they have one. \nThe event is free\, but there is a $2 per vehicle entrance fee to the Visitors Center.

DESCRIPTION:“Confessions of the Corazon” returns to the Corazon Cinema and Cafe with Uncle Eddie as our featured storyteller\, on August 29th. Uncle Eddie is one of half of the duo\, Uncle Eddie & Robin. He is a multi-instrumentalist (banjo\, guitar\, dobro) and vocalist. \nThe event is all ages and is $5 (cash only) for each person. There is room for 10 storytellers each time and it is first come\, first served. Sign up by purchasing one item and there are free refills on most beverages. Sign up at 5:00 p.m. and the stories begin at 5:30 p.m. Each storyteller receives six to eight minutes of stage time. The featured storyteller gets 10 minutes of stage time and 50% of the proceeds from the door. \nAfter each event\, the current featured storyteller draws the name for the following month’s storyteller. We’re going to try something different\, this month. Next month’s chosen featured storyteller will have the option to pick next month’s theme or keep it as no particular theme. \nIf you are an artist\, bring in your works and sell them. Let’s hear your elevator pitch. “Confessions” is perfect for all artists\, authors\, comedians\, writers\, poets\, influencers\, content creators\, entrepreneurs\, filmmakers\, actors\, storytellers\, etc. \nWe look forward to seeing you at the event and hearing your stories.
