The grounds were in use as a cemetery from the 18th century until 1864 and is the final resting place to some 1\,000 St. Augustinians. \nThis guided tour encourages attendees to come and learn about the rich history of the cemetery\, and those from an array of cultures who rest there. Some including Spanish\, Cuban\, Greek\, Minorcan\, African\, Irish\, and Haitian. This event is an opportunity to learn about the true stories of the people\, as well as the tales of our oldest city. \nAdmission is free. \n

Anastasia Park boasts a diverse variety of shorebirds\, marsh birds\, and hammock birds\, as well as migratory birds in the winter months that cannot be seen any other time of the year. The walk leads guests along the beaches\, boardwalk\, and nature trails of the state park. \nParticipants are asked to dress for the weather and bring binoculars\, water\, and comfortable walking shoes. The tour begins at the Island Beach Shop & Grill Pavilion located at the end of the main park drive. \nFor more information\, call (904) 461-2033 or visit here. \nAdmission to this event is free. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the Florida Living History\, Inc. and the Fort Mose Historical Society reenact the 1740 Spanish victory at the Battle of Bloody Mose. Visitors can participate in the commemoration of the battle and enjoy reenactments of the 1740 battle that forced the British to retreat from Spanish Florida. The reenactments will take place at 12 pm and 2 pm\, but there will be activities throughout the day like musket demonstrations and craft-making – like blacksmithing\, finger weaving\, and pine needle basket weaving.
