DESCRIPTION:Calling amateur bird lovers and birding experts alike! Led by a park volunteer and naturalist\, the walk leads guests along the beaches\, boardwalk\, and nature trails of the state park. Anastasia Park boasts a diverse variety of shore birds\, marsh birds\, and hammock birds\, as well as migratory birds in the winter months that cannot be seen any other time of the year. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring binoculars\, water\, and walking shoes. The walk will meet at the Island Beach Shop & Grill Pavilion. \nThe walk is free with park admission. This event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Pellicer Creek Raid gives visitors a unique view into military life in 1864. Taking place over two days\, the historic demonstrations will include Civil War battle reenactments and military parades\, as well as an authentic re-creation of a Civil War encampment. Reenactors will tell stories of the lives of soldiers in Florida as visitors wander through the encampment re-creation. Vendors in period dress will be selling historical clothing\, baked goods\, and lots more. There will also be a Ladies’ Tea formal ball as well as a new gift shop. \nTickets are $5. Your guide will share true tales from the history of our Light Station. Tours are offered year round on Friday\, Saturday and Sundays and more days during peak times. Purchase a combo ticket with regular daytime admission and save on this tour. Expect larger groups during peak season and holidays. \nInvestigation Only: See for yourself why we are consistently ranked as one of the most haunted sites in St. Augustine!
