SUMMARY:Lightner Learning Lab – Drawing Like Degas
DESCRIPTION:Children aged 5 – 14 are invited to join Lightner Museum educators in exploring the portraits and self-portraits shown in our special Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist exhibition. Educators will discuss portraiture alongside some of Degas’ favored drawing media.  This informative talk will be followed by an enjoyable self-portrait chalk-drawing activity. Little Lightners (ages 5 – 9 accompanied by an adult) will meet from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and Lightner Leaders (ages 10 – 14) will meet from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for children with an additional $5 fee for parents living outside of St. Johns County.
