DESCRIPTION:The day camp will be in celebration of the St. Augustine Lighthouse’s 145th Birthday year\, with a focus on Lighthouse history\, Maritime activities\, Pin the Light Beam on the Lighthouse and other fun games\, cookie decorating\, ice cream making\, and more. The camp is for kindergarten\, first\, second\, and third grade. Cost is $90 for the three-day camp\, or $40 for each day. Members receive a 10-percent discount. DESCRIPTION:On the first Saturday of every month\, the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTMNERR) hosts a Guided Exploration Hike\, where guests can learn about the cultural history of the Guana Peninsula\, as well as the natural biodiversity of the Reserve. \nA GTM naturalist leads the hike and talks about the peninsula’s 5\,000 years of human history\, including how native peoples made use of the estuarine resources\, what European plantation life was like\, and current efforts to save those resources. \nThe hike is free\, but there is a $3 parking fee.
