SUMMARY:CANCELLED – Pablo Cruise
DESCRIPTION:In 1975 Pablo Cruise released its first A&M album simply entitled Pablo Cruise. The album cover was shot in the tropical gardens of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park and it featured a huge gorilla standing front and center. The band\, David Jenkins (guitars\, vocals)\, Cory Lerios (keyboards\, vocals)\, Bud Cockerel (bass\, vocals) and Steve Price (drums\, percussion) were nowhere in sight. At that point there was a bit of a mystique surrounding Pablo Cruise and when asked what Pablo Cruise meant\, the well-rehearsed answer went something like this: “Pablo”\, represents an honest\, real\, down to earth individual\, and “Cruise” depicts his fun loving\, easy going attitude towards life: In essence that’s what Pablo Cruise music is all about. Honest\, real down to earth vocals\, accompanied by fun yet elegant\, infectious grooves. To hear Pablo Cruise on record is one thing\, but to experience the band live is an exhilarating event! \nFrom 1975 to 1985 the band toured the United States\, Canada and Japan extensively\, welcoming fans to “Climb Aboard The Good Ship Pablo Cruise.” Reaching the top 10 with mega hits like “Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye?” and “Love Will Find A Way\,” and several other top 20’s\, the band went on to sell several million albums and singles collectively and established themselves as well respected writers and performers within the industry. They appeared on numerous TV shows\, including Dick Clark’s American Bandstand\, The Merv Griffin Show\, The Dinah Shore Hour and in 1979 they broke Elvis Presley’s attendance record at the Sahara Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe\, Nevada\, becoming the first rock band to play a casino showroom. They also became the first rock band to grace the stage at the Grand Ole Opry\, but by 1985 after completing several national tours and releasing 7 studio albums in all\, the band decided to take a hiatus……one that lasted nearly 20 years. \nFast forward 20 years…..In 2005 a reunited Pablo Cruise picked up where they left off and today the band performs all over the U.S. and Canada and they’re enjoying it more than ever….Since getting back together\, they have released two live CD’s and a DVD all through Sony Music documenting their exceptional live shows. “One of the great things about playing shows after all these years is that the core band\, David\, Steve and myself are still here and lovin’ it\, says Cory! Going out and playing shows these days gives us the opportunity to not only pay tribute to our timeless repertoire\, it gives us a chance to see old friends and fans from back in the day as well as gaining a whole new audience!” Today Pablo Cruise is bringing more energy and excitement to the stage than ever before and with the addition of Larry Antonino and Robbie Wyckoff\, the band has never sounded better….. If you get an opportunity to see Pablo Cruise live\, don’t pass it up…… ”IT’S GOOD TO BE LIVE”

SUMMARY:Lenten Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:A Lenten Organ Concert Series is offered at Memorial Presbyterian each year during the Wednesdays of Lent at 12:30pm. Guest recitalists come from across the community\, the country\, and the world to play Memorial’s 155-rank\, over five thousand pipe\, Aeolian-Skinner organ. Admission is free. Donations are appreciated. \nIn 1969\, Reverend Dr. David Redding and organist Everett Eubanks approached two long-term members of the congregation about funding a new pipe organ for the congregation. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson\, closely tied to the Mellon family of Pittsburgh\, Pennsylvania\, provided the money necessary for the project. The church selected the Aeolian-Skinner Pipe Organ Company of Boston\, Massachusetts\, to install the new pipe organ. The new organ contained 90 ranks and over 5\,000 pipes including the chimes from the old Roosevelt-Estey organ. In 1971\, the organ expanded with two additional divisions: the Bombarde division above the organ in the casework and the Antiphonal division in the north balcony. The Aeolian-Skinner organ at Memorial Church represents one of the “American Classic Organs” produced by the company during this period. In 2000\, R.A. Colby\, Inc. of Johnson City\, Tennessee\, rebuilt the organ console adding new MIDI technology to the organ allowing the organ to be played remotely in six locations throughout the sanctuary.

SUMMARY:POSTPONED – Cliff Cody
DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. THE DATE WILL BE UPDATED WHEN NEW INFORMATION IS RELEASED.\nThe Colonial Oak Music Park is pleased to welcome highly regarded independent country recording artist Cliff Cody to the Colonial Oak stage on Saturday\, April 25th.\nLocal singer/ songwriter Davis Loose will open the show. \nA performer with a big voice and a working-class sensibility\, Cliff Cody embraces the classic themes of country music — hard work\, hard times\, broken hearts\, and the occasional glass of whiskey to smooth away life’s rough edges. Making his debut with the 2014 album ‘Homegrown\,’ Cody’s music has a potent classic rock influence to go along with the country archetypes of his melodies and lyrics – while his second long-player\, 2019’s ‘A Mess Like Me\,’ pushes rock guitars and organ into the background for a more traditionalist approach in performance and production. \nA fan of country music since childhood\, Cody began playing and songwriting at age 19 – building a following from Odessa\, Texas to Nashville\, Tennessee\, and Key West\, Florida over the ensuing years. Along the way he has written for & performed with a number of music luminaries\, competed in the nationally televised competition ‘Rising Star’\, as well as becoming accredited as a registered nurse. \nSt. Augustine resident\, Davis Loose\, whose first LP ‘The Next Lonesome Road’ was released in December 2019\, will open up the evening’s festivities with his band\, the Loose Cannons. \nShowtime starts at 7PM\, and admission is $25. Tickets for the event will go on sale on March 1st and can be purchased through Eventbrite.com.

SUMMARY:Robbie Litt Solo at Colonial Oak Music Park
DESCRIPTION:Robbie began his music career in Canada at the age of 12 as a bass player for local bands in northern Ontario. At 18\, Robbie formed Brothers The Band with his two brothers where he played guitar and sang lead vocals. Robbie developed his performance and song writing skills as Brothers The Band toured Ontario for 13 years. After Brothers The Band\, Robbie became a soloist and played guitar and harmonica for Canadian country music singer and songwriter\, Beverly Mahood. In 2013\, Robbie decided to take the opportunity to gain an American fan base by joining Carnival Cruise lines with ports in Jacksonville\, Florida and Galveston\, Texas. With Carnival\, he was able to travel and perform in countries like Spain\, Bahamas\, Turkey\, and Italy. Robbie’s music is inspired by classic rock and country artists such as Lynrd Sknyrd\, Kris Kristofferson\, Pink Floyd\, and Johnny Cash. His life experiences and personal trials have helped him to create moving songs like Play it Soft\, Brother\, and Take Me for a Ride which are favorites among his fans. \nColonial Oak Music Park is excited to resume live solo/duo acts. Colonial Oak Staff will be temperature checking each attendee at the door\, and requiring that patrons wear face masks\, except when seated. Per Phase 2 of the Governor’s reopening plan for Florida\, all patrons will be required to be seated during performances.  No gathering or milling around will be permitted.  The management of Colonial Oak Music Park will ask that everyone adhere to the CDC’s social distancing guidelines while in all Colonial Quarter establishments.

SUMMARY:BREAKTHROUGH BLUEGRASS PHENOM BILLY STRINGS
DESCRIPTION:Grammy-nominated singer\, songwriter and musician Billy Strings will take the stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre for three nights from Friday\, March 19 – Sunday\, March 21 for a special\, limited capacity\, physically distanced concert series. After performing numerous livestreams and drive-in concerts throughout 2020\, the newly confirmed dates will be Strings’ first in-person shows in over a year. \nTickets for the performances go on sale this Friday\, February 12 at 12:00pm. In order to protect those in attendance\, enhanced safety measures and protocols will be in place including contactless digital ticketing\, distanced seating\, face covering requirements and mobile ordering for concessions and merchandise. \nMichigan-born and now Nashville-based\, Billy Strings arrived on the music scene as one of the most compelling new artists with the release of his 2017 debut LP\, Turmoil & Tinfoil. Since his debut\, Strings has been awarded Guitar Player of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2019 International Bluegrass Music Awards\, selected as one of Rolling Stone’s 2017 “New Country Artists to Know” and performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and PBS’ “Bluegrass Underground.” Often playing over 200 shows per year\, he has also become known as an electric live performer\, keeping the improvisational tradition of bluegrass alive while incorporating elements of several diverse genres. WXPN’s World Café declares\, “a bona fide phenom…with his virtuosic guitar playing front and center\, Strings fuses bluegrass to psych rock\, country and jam music\, without fussing over what bluegrass should be.” \nThe event continues a breakthrough series of years for Strings\, who is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards for his critically acclaimed new record\, Home. Out now on Rounder Records\, Home was produced by Glenn Brown (Greensky Bluegrass) and furthers Strings’ reputation as “one of string music’s most dynamic young stars” (Rolling Stone). Of the album\, Associated Press proclaims\, “it is his creative musical storytelling\, paired with solid vocals on Home that should seal the deal\, pleasing fans of the genre and creating some new ones…the perfect blend of pure talent and pluck\,” while The Wall Street Journal declares\, “Billy Strings has clearly emerged as a premier guitar flatpicker of this era.” Moreover\, Strings and the album topped Billboard’s 2020 year-end chart in both Bluegrass categories: Top Bluegrass Albums Artists and Top Bluegrass Albums Titles. \nThe St. Augustine shows are just the latest in a series of special performances by Strings\, who will kick off his six-night livestream event\, “The Déjà Vu Experiment\,” next Thursday\, February 18\, performing live from Port Chester\, NY’s The Capitol Theatre. Broadcasting February 18\, 19\, 20\, 21\, 23 and 24 at 9:00pm ET\, the first and last performances of the series will be available to view for free via The Relix Channel on Twitch\, while tickets\nfor the four additional shows can be purchased now at FANS. A portion of all proceeds will benefit two organizations: The Rex Foundation and Backline. \nTickets for Billy Strings goes on sale this Friday\, February 12 at 12:00pm and will be available for purchase at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office will be open on Fridays from 10:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:30am-12:30pm\, and will only accept payment via debit or credit card.

Your continued support will help us continue SUNDAYS with SAMF through the summer and fall of 2021 and into 2022\, allow our Signature Series to grow and bring you the music and experience you have come to enjoy from SAMF.https://www.staugustinemusicfestival.org/support/ \nSAMF is delighted to collaborate with The Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine at the historic Peña-Peck House to present their first two SUNDAYS with SAMF afternoon concerts\, March 21st and March 28th. https://penapeckhouse.com/the-womans-exhange/\nwww.SAMFestival.org\n\nMembers of the Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine are committed to the mission of “women helping women.”\n\nThe Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine\, founded in 1892\, is a non-profit organization and part of the National Federation of Woman’s Exchanges.\n\nHistory of Federation of Woman’s Exchanges\nFederation members follow in the footsteps of women in the 19th century who began Woman’s Exchanges to help other women who had fallen on hard times. These women discretely placed their handmade items and home-cooked food in Exchanges where they were sold. Like the St. Augustine Exchange\, a number of those 19th-century Woman’s Exchanges are still in business today and are members of the Federation.\n\nWhat They Do\nMembers of the Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine work to support the Peña-Peck House Museum\, to give hand-crafters a venue for selling their products\, and to provide scholarships for deserving women who are returning to school to prepare for new careers. To accomplish our goals\, we raise funds from guided tours\, gift shop sales\, luncheons\, weddings\, receptions\, and other special events.

SUMMARY:Legendary Americana Pioneer Robert Earl Keen
DESCRIPTION:The St. Augustine Amphitheatre\, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents\, proudly announces that legendary Americana pioneer Robert Earl Keen will perform at The Amp on Sunday\, April 11\, 2021 for a limited-capacity concert with distanced seating. Enhanced safety measures and protocols are in place\, including contactless digital ticketing\, face covering requirements\, and mobile ordering for concessions. Tickets for Robert Earl Keen on Sunday\, April 11\, 2021 go on sale this Friday\, February 26 at 10:00am at the venue Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.com. \nIt’s not always easy to sum up a career – let alone a life’s ambition – so succinctly\, but those five words from Robert Earl Keen’s calling-card anthem just about do it. You can complete the lyric with the next five words – the ones routinely shouted back at Keen by thousands of fans a night (“and the party never ends!”) – just to punctuate the point with a flourish\, but it’s the part about the journey that gets right to the heart of what makes Keen tick. Some people take up a life of playing music with the goal of someday reaching a destination of fame and fortune; but from the get-go\, Keen just wanted to write and sing his own songs\, and to keep writing and singing them for as long as possible. “I always thought that I wanted to play music\, and I always knew that you had to get some recognition in order to continue to play music\,” Keen says. “But I never thought of it in terms of\ngetting to be a big star. I thought of it in terms of having a really\, really good career and writing some good songs\, and getting onstage and having a really good time.” \nNow three-decades on from the release of his debut album – with nineteen other records to his name\,\nthousands of shows under his belt and still no end in sight to the road ahead – Keen remains as committed to and inspired by his muse as ever. And as for accruing recognition\, well\, he’s done alright on that front\, too; from his humble beginnings on the Texas folk scene\, he’s blazed a peer\, critic\, and fan-lauded trail that’s earned him living-legend (not to mention pioneer) status in the Americana music world. And though the Houston native has never worn his Texas heart on his sleeve\, he’s long been regarded as one of the Lone Star State’s finest (not to mention top-drawing) true singer-songwriters. \nA breakthrough album for Keen\, A Bigger Piece of Sky and its songs\, such as “Amarillo Highway\,” “Whenever Kindness Fails\,” and “Corpus Christi Bay” are mainstays of his live set. The album was recorded in Nashville\, TN\, produced by Garry Velletri\, and mixed by Velletri and Jeff Coppage. The project features an amazing lineup consisting of Garry Tallent (E Street Band) on upright and electric bass\, Marty Stuart on mandolin\, Dave Durocher on percussion\, Jay Spell on accordion\, Jonathan Yudkin on violin\, and Maura O’Connell on vocals. It also features guest musicians George Marinelli (Bonnie Raitt) on harmony vocal and electric guitar\, Tommy Spurlock on guitar\, Michael Snow on tenor banjo\, Bryan Duckworth on violin\, Dave Heath on upright bass\, and Jennifer Prince on harmony vocals. \nTickets for Robert Earl Keen go on sale this Friday\, February 26 at 10:00am at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are sold in pre-configured pods (groupings) ranging from two to eight seats per pod. Each pod is at least six feet from one to the next\, and all seats within the pod must be purchased together. Additionally\, all tickets are digital. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office will be open on Fridays from 10:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:30am-12:30pm\, and will only accept payment via debit or credit card.

SUMMARY:Grammy winning indie-folk duo Indigo Girls
DESCRIPTION:The St. Augustine Amphitheatre\, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents\, is thrilled to announce that Grammy winning indie-folk duo Indigo Girls will perform at The Amp on Sunday\, May 30\, 2021 for a limited-capacity concert with distanced seating. Enhanced safety measures and protocols are in place\, including contactless digital ticketing\, face covering requirements\, and mobile ordering for concessions. Tickets for Indigo Girls go on sale this Friday\, April 2 at 10:00am at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. \nNever ones to rest on their laurels\, Indigo Girls embarked on a bold new chapter in 2012\, collaborating with a pair of orchestrators to prepare larger-than-life arrangements of their songs to perform with symphonies around the country. It was a challenging endeavor\, to say the least\, but the Grammy-winning duo managed to find that elusive sonic sweet spot with the project\, creating a seamless blend of folk\, rock\, pop\, and classical that elevated their songs to new emotional heights without sacrificing any of the emotional intimacy and honesty that have defined their music for decades. Now\, after more than 50 performances with symphonies across America\, the experience has finally been captured in all its grandeur on the band’s stunning new album\, ‘Indigo Girls Live with The University of Colorado Symphony Orchestra.’ \nRecorded in front of a sold-out audience in Boulder\, CO\, and deftly mixed by Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crow\, Emmylou Harris)\, the record showcases Indigo Girls at their finest: raw\, real\, and revelatory. Spanning material from throughout the band’s career\, the 22-song set features a mix of reimagined classics\, unexpected deep cuts\, and tracks from their latest studio album\, One Lost Day. Backed by the symphony\, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers’ voices are both powerful and delicate\, their intertwined harmonies riding high on the crest of an emotional tidal wave created by Sean O’Loughlin and Stephen Barber’s dazzling arrangements. The orchestrations are as richly cinematic as a film score (think John Williams rather than J.S. Bach)\, and the 64-piece symphony wrings every ounce of passion from them\, helping to bring the band’s evocative storytelling to more vivid life than ever before. \nNPR’s Mountain Stage called the group “one of the finest folk duos of all time\,” while Rolling Stone said they “personify what happens when two distinct sensibilities\, voices\, and worldviews come together to create something transcendently its own\,” and The New York Times raved that “gleeful profanities\, righteous protest anthems and impeccable folk songwriting have carried this duo for thirty years.” \nTickets for Indigo Girls go on sale this Friday\, April 2 at 10:00am at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are sold in preconfigured pods (groupings) ranging from two to eight seats per pod. Each pod is at least six feet from one to the next\, and all seats within the pod must be purchased together. Additionally\, all tickets are digital.
