DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, the world will celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach\, in partnership with MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum in Malaga\, Spain) is paying tribute to this milestone thanks to the traveling musical installation Loving Beethoven. The interactive music installation will be at the Cultural Center from March 6\, 2020 to May 26\, 2020. \nAt the end of June\, 2019\, Cultural Center Director Donna Guzzo visited the museum in Malaga\, Spain to start discussions with the MIMMA Director\, Miguel Angel Piedrola. After the visit to MIMMA\, Guzzo requested the collaboration with MIMMA to develop a program that will showcase music-related activities and host the exhibit in the United States at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The interactive nature of the MIMMA exhibits\, with galleries full of musical instruments where the public is encouraged to touch and try\, is one of the traits the Cultural Center is looking to replicate during the exhibit in Florida. \n“Loving Beethoven ties together the Cultural Center’s mission and the Center’s outreach program Sound Connections® Music Therapy perfectly. DESCRIPTION:Eric Johnson has been traveling on a prolific odyssey over the course of more than four decades. Along the way\, his creations have encompassed repertoire that cross pollinate genres which include rock\, blues\, jazz\, fusion\, soul\, folk\, new-age\, classical and even country. Inevitably E.J. says it best himself in sharing. “It really boils down to the music and the song at the end of the day\,” he explains. “If it doesn’t have that it gets boring for me. The most important thing for me is to grow musically and make a more expansive and meaningful artistic statement with every new project.” \nAs another decade turns\, the guitarist\, vocalist\, composer\, and multi-instrumentalist will release a new studio offering titled EJ Vol II. This album follows its predecessor from 2016 which was simply EJ\, an all-acoustic collection of songs which showcased nine original compositions and four covers. His approach was deeply honest\, intimate\, personal and delivered with organic emotion. The touring which followed presented the rare opportunity for fans to enjoy the artist’s performances on both guitar and piano. With EJ Vol II\, Johnson presents new repertoire that combines electric and acoustic arrangements. Additional detail on the upcoming album release will follow later this year. \nAmong Johnson’s many accolades are a Grammy award for “Cliffs Of Dover ” (a track from his Platinum certified Ah Via Musicom)\, lifetime induction into the Guitar Player Gallery of Greats\, his listing among the “100 Greatest Guitarists of the 20th Century” by Musician. In his hometown of Austin TX\, a city full of guitarists the readers of the Austin Chronicle have voted Johnson the city’s “Best Electric Guitarist” and “Best Acoustic Guitarist” in their yearly poll year after year. They also named him “Electric Guitarist of the Decade” and one of the top five “Musicians of the Decade”. \nThroughout his career\, Johnson has approached music as a healing force\, a way to enhance a listener’s consciousness and conjure joy and inspiration. “That’s what I’ve always appreciated most about other artists\,” he says. “Some artists inspire us to wake up and get back to the clarity of consciousness. With this record\, I’m trying to do that too\, because I appreciate it so much in other people.”

DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, the world will celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach\, in partnership with MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum in Malaga\, Spain) is paying tribute to this milestone thanks to the traveling musical installation Loving Beethoven. The interactive music installation will be at the Cultural Center from March 6\, 2020 to May 26\, 2020. \nAt the end of June\, 2019\, Cultural Center Director Donna Guzzo visited the museum in Malaga\, Spain to start discussions with the MIMMA Director\, Miguel Angel Piedrola. After the visit to MIMMA\, Guzzo requested the collaboration with MIMMA to develop a program that will showcase music-related activities and host the exhibit in the United States at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The interactive nature of the MIMMA exhibits\, with galleries full of musical instruments where the public is encouraged to touch and try\, is one of the traits the Cultural Center is looking to replicate during the exhibit in Florida. \n“Loving Beethoven ties together the Cultural Center’s mission and the Center’s outreach program Sound Connections® Music Therapy perfectly. DESCRIPTION:Performing their current album\, World Gone Mad\, as well as classic songs of The Band\, The Weight Band is led by Jim Weider\, a 15-year former member of The Band and Levon Helm Band. The Weight Band originated in 2013 inside the famed Woodstock barn of Levon Helm. Weider was inspired by Helm to carry on the musical legacy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group. \nYears of touring have seen The Weight Band revive “The Woodstock Sound\,” keeping the spirit of Americana/Roots Rock alive for audiences of all ages.  They continue to keep the sound vibrant by releasing new music\, evidenced by the album World Gone Mad (February 2018.) In 2020 we’ll continue that great combination of competition and entertainment with spectator events and entertainment the entire city can enjoy. As always\, St Augustine Race Week offers Challenging Offshore Yacht Racing\, Exciting Inshore Yacht Racing and Inspiring Bayfront Youth Sailboat Racing for sailors from 12 – 92 arriving from up and down the Atlantic coast. Sailers will race their yachts on the Ocean in the River and on the Bay! FAST\, FUN and FRIENDLY events for Sailors\, Spectators and Party People on the Water and on the Land for a full week in St Augustine\, Florida. It’s the world-famous St Augustine Race Week – March 14-21\, 2020. \nRace Week 2020 includes all the features everyone loves including the best live local bands\, great food\, delicious rum drinks and convivial socializing with all your sailing friends – public is invited too – downtown in the Meehan’s Big Party Tent at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. To get your 2020 shirts\, hats\, sail bags and other paraphernalia\, check the merchandise page on the Race week website. And\, like the 2019 event\, hundreds of spectators will see the delightful spectacle of youngsters racing right off the Bayfront in their One-Design 420’s. The Tactical Challenge Series presents a set of coordinates to be reached by any route sailors choose. \nKids – The Best Thing about the Regatta: In the summer of 2019 proceeds from St. Augustine Race Week enabled us to send nearly 40 underprivleged kids to various summer sailing camps around the area free of charge! That’s what we’re all about – giving less fortunate children a great summer experience and training the next generation of sailors. DESCRIPTION:In 2020\, the world will celebrate Ludwig van Beethoven’s 250th birthday anniversary. The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach\, in partnership with MIMMA (Interactive Music Museum in Malaga\, Spain) is paying tribute to this milestone thanks to the traveling musical installation Loving Beethoven. The interactive music installation will be at the Cultural Center from March 6\, 2020 to May 26\, 2020. \nAt the end of June\, 2019\, Cultural Center Director Donna Guzzo visited the museum in Malaga\, Spain to start discussions with the MIMMA Director\, Miguel Angel Piedrola. After the visit to MIMMA\, Guzzo requested the collaboration with MIMMA to develop a program that will showcase music-related activities and host the exhibit in the United States at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach. The interactive nature of the MIMMA exhibits\, with galleries full of musical instruments where the public is encouraged to touch and try\, is one of the traits the Cultural Center is looking to replicate during the exhibit in Florida. \n“Loving Beethoven ties together the Cultural Center’s mission and the Center’s outreach program Sound Connections® Music Therapy perfectly.
