On Friday\, August 24\, the St. Augustine Art Association presents an entertaining evening of storytelling that brings three historic North Florida naturalist artists to life. Re-enactors in period clothing step into the roles of Jacques LeMoyne\, Martin Johnson Heade\, and John James Audubon to muse upon their experiences roaming area marshes\, rivers\, and settlements in pursuit of the primeval beauty of man and nature. Iconic works of famous art punctuate their stories\, along with cutting-edge recycled fashions inspired by nature motifs. \nProduced by Melissa Stuart\, theatrical director and history guide\, the performance is set against the stunning backdrop of the 9th Annual Nature & Wildlife Art Exhibition\, an installation of 130 works of fine art from across the country. \n“This is an exciting multimedia experiment that combines art\, drama\, and history with a contemporary fashion twist\,” said Stuart. “For one night\, viewers will be transported by St. Augustine’s rich artistic past and present.” \nThe free “Wild St. Augustine: Musings on Art” storytelling event begins at 7pm at 22 Marine Street. Reservations are required. Doors open at 6:15pm so visitors may view the art exhibition before it closes on August 26.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the 16th season of the annual Music by the Sea concert series\, every Wednesday from 6-9pm. Each week features different musical entertainment along with a local restaurant pairing. Concert guests are welcome to bring a cooler\, lawn chair\, and blankets. Dogs are permitted and welcome but must be on a leash. Due to limited parking at Pier Park\, attendees are encouraged to ride the Trolley\, which runs continuously from City Hall. The first trolley runs at 5:45pm and the last trolley leaves at 9:45pm. Food service begins at 6pm and music begins at 7pm. \nThis concert will feature Bluez Dudes\, playing classic rock and blues. Food will be provided by By Design Catering.

There is true joy in seeing the men\, women\, and children cheering\, smiling and hurrying back for more\, wave after wave. \nSurfQuest is a free monthly beach-day for anyone with a disability.\nAll ages and disabilities are welcome. And together\, SurfQuest is Ohana. \nSurfQuest empowers people with disabilities by providing adaptive surfing instruction and therapeutic educational programs on water recreation and enriches lives by assisting families to access the beach and ocean together in a barrier-free environment. \nSurfQuest acts as an advocate for accessibility to the water that will allow people with limited mobility to reach the beach (i.e. wheelchairs\, assisted devices\, strollers\, etc.). \nSurfQuest provides adaptive equipment with education and training for the advancement of adaptive surfing. \nSurfQuest develops partnerships to expand awareness and support of safe adaptive water recreation.
